'I Will If You Will'

Since 2008, Filipinos have been participating in Earth Hour--from multinational companies down to the smallest household, everyone unplugs and turns off their energy sources for merely 60 minutes. This year, we are challenged with the 'I Will If You Will' campaign. So once again, this March 31st, 2012, from 8:30 until 9:30 PM, let us switch off our lights in support of Earth Hour 2012 and do our part in saving our planet!

Neologisms: Noynoying and Staycation

People have been coming out with new words all the time and social media is making it spread as crazily. Here are a few that have been going around + an exclusive chance to experience a staycation first hand!!

Noynoying
Noynoying (pronounced noy-noy-YING or noy-NOY-ying) is a protest gimmick in the form of neologism which critics of Philippine President Benigno Aquino III have used to question his work ethic, alleging inaction on Aquino's part on the issues of disaster response and of rising oil prices. A play on the term planking and Aquino's nickname, "Noynoy", Noynoying involves posing in a lazy manner, such as sitting idly while resting their heads on one hand and doing nothing. -- Wikipedia
Because we're people who barely keep up with depressing political news, we really didn't know that this neologism existed until Yahoo! Philippines polled its readers. We were even surprised that it has its own page in both Wikipedia and the L.A Times!

Staycation
staycation (also spelled stay-cationstacation, or staykation) is a neologism for a period in which an individual or family stays and relaxes at home, possibly taking day trips to area attraction. [...] Common activities of a staycation include use of the backyard pool, visits to local parks and museums, and attendance at local festivals. Some staycationers also like to follow a set of rules, such as setting a start and end date, planning ahead, and avoiding routine, with the goal of creating the feel of a traditional vacation. -- Wikipedia
Not everyone has a backyard pool and sometimes staying at home is even more stressful. Go and getaway minus the painful driving and expensive charges! A lavish staycation in a 4* hotel may just do it! For a very limited time, AtCrazy is offering this ~Mystery Deal~! Visit AtCrazy.com now and be part of this recessionista trend!

So, this Holy Week, would you be noynoying or staycationing?

Southern Getaway!

Let’s admit it: living in the city can be really tiring. It’s the same old routine, even if we could help it—tedious metro traffic, heavy work load, Saturday night errands when you would most rather be at home enjoying a cold beer while watching the dysfunctional Kardashian family.

We’re all dying to just go on a holiday and leave all these haunting things behind but where? Flying to that island is too expensive, this destination is not accessible, and that old hill’s beauty has (honestly) deteriorated. Seriously, where?!

Well, we just found out that there’s a lot in the south of Luzon that’s yet to be explored. Specifically, there’s a lot in Batangas that’s yet to be explored! Aside from the tried-and-tested BatangueƱo charms like the Taal Volcano, the Basilica of St. Martin de Torres, and the Kapeng Barako, Batangas has a paradise called Eagle Point Resort in Bagalangit or “Almost Heaven”.

And Almost Heaven it is!
It truly is a vacationer’s paradise! Can you imagine that this hideaway is tucked merely 2 hours away from the bustling Metro Manila?

The air is crisp and cool, the waters are pristine and it seemed like the reefs were very happy to see its visitors!
Located away from the hustle of the city and the crowd of other out-of-towners in the Calumpang Peninsula, Eagle Point Resort used to be a private vacation villa but this 5.36-hectare property was turned into a full-serviced resort following developments. It boasts of function rooms, game rooms, a beach center, a bar and restaurant, an aviary, a tennis court, a playground, and a helipad. helipad! Despite all these facilities, Eagle Point didn’t lose the homey and cozy feel that vacationers look for. All suites, cottages and cabanas are furnished with rustic elements that blend harmoniously well with the surrounding natural sceneries.

Inviting comfy rooms that overlook the azure Balayan Bay
If that isn't enough, Eagle Point Resort also offers masseuse service, kayak, snorkeling and diving gears, as well as day tours to Mt. Panay and Maricaban Island.

With the sound of all those awesome offerings, we know you’re wondering about the price of staying in such a place. It’s 3,000 bucks. But if you avail of At Crazy’s deal, you can pay half of that!

For only Php 1,500, you can enjoy an overnight vacation with friends and family of four. Visit our website to read the deal's highlights and conditions and book ASAP!

Doll up with airbrush.

For the girls: What's your foundation routine?

Michelle Phan, Youtube's resident make-up guru, teaches us to use dry blush brush for a natural finish in her latest video.

But what if you're barely a make-up guru who has the time, the proper tools, and the actual skill that it takes for one to achieve that most natural foundation finish? Don't stress yourself... At Crazy recommends: AIRBRUSH MAKE-UP!

Airbrush make-up technique gives you the best coverage and the most even finish since foundation is gently sprayed onto the skin instead of blending it with sponges/brushes/fingers. It allows droplets of formula to connect with the skin, making blemishes and other skin imperfection disappear minus the unwanted caking. In short, the most ideal foundation routine! In addition, airbrush make-up is long-wearing. Isn't it the most perfect way to doll up for that special event?
